Karla Badger-Brown is the Director of ASPIRE, a Toronto Finance International program developed to grow the talent pool of work-ready talent for the financial services industry. Karla has experience working in financial services, life sciences, retail, healthcare, and sales. She has a Ph.D. in Medical Biophysics from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Science in Genetics from the University of Manitoba.
Karla joins me today to share how the ASPIRE program is changing the perspective of roles in the financial industry and helping students find opportunities to grow and expand their skills. She shares three core ways that ASPIRE helps students, including job matching, the ASPIRE Challenge, and free resources. Karla also reveals the details of the upcoming ASPIRE Edge program and shares tips for students to avoid common business etiquette mistakes.
